I've played easily 1000 hrs of D2 over a two decade span. If you want to play D2R online/multi on the consoles (I don't) you might want to educate yourself about widely discussed problems with lobbies/matchmaking before pulling the trigger. Even if you just want to try and beat the game on hell and move on, it's way easier on some builds that others. So a lot of things that folks consider "best in slot" gear are not reasonably obtainable without an enormous investment in time. If you want to play D2R offline/solo, you are going to be frustrated quite a bit at "low" drop rates in light of there is not any way to trade surplus items for gear you might be able to use. I don't mind because I played it 20 years ago and it all "makes sense" to me, but it might seem frustrating in light of modern design practices. D2R looks amazing, if a little choppy at times on an Xbox One X at 4k res.ĭ2R is definitely "old school" and features game and UI/UX design ideas that were state of the art when it was released 20 years ago and, for better or worse, they really didn't change much. I was pleasantly surprised they were able to make D2 (originally PC, keyboard and mouse only) play well on a controller. I've got a fair number of hours in both games on the Xbox. That will at least spice some things up and hopefully have the developers work on more new content for later patches.ĭ3 always has something new for every “season” (ladder in d2 terms), d2 has been untouched since 2016 pretty much There’s going to be some interesting changes very soon with the upcoming ladder season on d2 with some new content in the form of items (runewords, specifically) as well as character balances. I casually play d2 on switch and pc since I have a full time job with OT and a wife and child, I don’t get a lot of time to play but im efficient since I’ve played d2 since my childhood. Or you can get lucky and find something crazy that’s worth a lot to the right person.ĭ3 is more casual fun, and your incremental farming has a measurable return. You can farm for literally 10 hours and be no better off than when you started. Unless your willing to invest a massive amount of time, or buy your way into power ($20-40 dollars from an item seller) Diablo 2 isn’t worth your time. However, they are pretty rare rewards.Īcquiring Observatory blueprints is pretty similar to the methods that we used to acquire our Arc blueprints. You can get them as prizes in certain Seasonal Events. You can only get blueprints through the Observatory itself, you cannot get them through aiding or motivation. However, it is one of the most difficult Great Buildings to acquire because of the difficulty acquiring good blueprints. Some guilds will even make it a requirement. If you are in a Guild it is advised that you try to get the Observatory. It provides support pool for your Guild which helps in the Guild vs Guild mode. Now it is first important to note that if you are not in a Guild then the Observatory is not going to help you. Aside from watching the stars and the sky, monitoring terrestrial events helps to detect new resources and to gain an edge over the competitors. I guess the main downside is the low number of complete BP sets that I have, so any suggestions to increase that is also welcome.Originally built to look at celestial events, the towering Observatory gathers knowledge that proves to be unrivaled in its value for alliances. I'd really appreciate any kind of feedback, mainly regarding whether or not it's too soon to set up an Arc. So far was able to save 1,280 FPs in packages and almost 3k IA goods and only have 3 complete sets of Arc BPs Altogether I make at least 100 FPs a day. 50 FPs daily production from GBs and special buildings + FPs from time production + all I can get from actively playing GE and GBG + snipping neighbors. Weekly active participation in GE and GBG. I'm on a good a supporting guild, but without any special thread for Arcs. I'm on IA mostly focused on fighting, but I'd say it's pretty much a balanced play style as I still rely on negotiating to complete level 4 of GE and to advance more on GBG at a certain point. Here's some background about my city and play style, so that you can give an informed opinion: I'm fairly new to FoE (started around 2.5 months ago) and I'm wondering what you would consider as a "good package" before investing on setting up an Arc all the way to level 80 (or at least level 60). All of this combines to give Kii an anti-aircraft suite nearly equivalent to American Tier VIII battleship North Carolina, much to the dismay of enemy carrier captains looking for an easy target.įurther differentiating Kii from Amagi are her two triple-tube torpedo launchers, one each mounted port and starboard near her stern. Her inner AA ring is flooded with copious quantities of standard Japanese triple-mount 25mm guns. Kii features a significantly improved AA suite, comprised of 100mm dual-purpose mounts for her long-range bubble - instead of the slower-firing 127mm batteries generally found on Japanese capital ships of the era - and large numbers of the Japanese variant of the 40mm Bofors that make US and Royal Navy mid-range AA so punishing. She's far less vulnerable than Amagi to aerial torpedoes, however. She is more vulnerable when broadside thanks to her thinner turtleback armor section and worse torpedo protection system (TPS), which provides roughly half the protection of Amagi’s TPS subsequently, Kii is significantly more vulnerable to ship-launched torpedoes. Kii has some fairly noteworthy differences from Amagi, though. She sports the same turning circle and detection statistics as Amagi and sports a thicker main belt and torpedoes over Amagi's TDS and turtleback armor. She mounts the same main battery armament as her tech tree cousin - though they are a touch less accurate and have shorter range - in the same turret layout. Historically, Tier VIII premium Japanese battleship Kii was designed as a follow-on to the Amagi-class battlecruisers with thicker belt armor with slightly lower speed. The data presented in the AA Defense sidebar section may be incorrect.įor a graphic summary of ships Tiers VIII thru XI see LittleWhiteMouse's "Actual AA DPS". It has always been that the current age good produced is needed for the next 3 ages in the tech tree. It's based on the entire structure of goods needed for tech since the beginning of the game. Basically, if you want to make it worth building, it's going to need an FP collection bonus with a distribution curve somewhere between Kraken and AO (since it's apparently 6圆 compared to the 5x5 and 7x7 respectively).Click to expand. It's not only based on that Promethium was needed for AF and OF. The currently-described bonus (at least to the extent that we know it) is probably somewhere a little below Kraken-level in terms of usefulness, except the Kraken also provides FPs. Of course, this depends on the second bonus (assuming there is one). It will be a fun novelty for those who want to go down that path but hardly a staple. My guess is this thing is probably going to be a TBG-style building. Will you publish an official distribution probability list with this GB? Note: if there ARE published, official probabilities and I've just never found them I apologize and retract this statement. There are estimates on sites like Wiki Fandom but those aren't official. To my knowledge, you've never given actual distribution probabilities regarding buildings like the Seed Vault or Wishing Well. Please keep in mind that context when determining whether something is "really valuable". That means they're either in VF (which means they've been playing for years and already have an inventory full of "really valuable" stuff), or they have friends/guildmates who fit that bill and can provide such resources, or they have the RW financial resources to consider 24,000 diamonds no big deal (assuming same goods cost as TA). Will "really valuable" include things like supply packages, maybe non-premium buildings, etc? Just a bit of friendly advice, keep in mind that anyone who actually builds this thing must have the means to acquire VF goods. That just defies logic (although to be fair that conundrum has existed for quite a while). Heck, you have One-Up Kits as Daily Specials with the same acquisition requirements as a Reno Kit. "Really valuable" seems to be tied to things like Victory Tower Upgrade Kits now. No offense, but the last couple events make me wonder if you guys play your own game. These regions also have seamless drop-in/drop-out multiplayer, and you may run into other players while exploring the world. It's possible to open the region map in the gameplay demo, and doing so reveals a map several times larger than anything we've ever seen in a Diablo game before. These regions are massive, and that should not be understated. Our initial thoughts are that the classes themselves feel right at home in Diablo IV, and they are all super fun from what we played! World:Įxplore the world of Sanctuary Diablo IV features a contiguous open world, so far the regions we know of are: Scosglen, Featured Peaks, Dry Steppes, Hawezar, and Kehjistan. Players are able to customize the look of their characters outside of a binary male/female choice, and this compliments the immense amount of skill customization through the use of Skill Trees, Items, and points that you can invest into individual skills to make them more powerful. We will have a more in-depth post regarding the the individual classes once we have more hands on time with the demo! The Barbarian, as expected, relies on the magic of blood and loud shouting. The Sorceress focuses on strong elemental magic to kill enemies, while the druid relies on a mixture of shape-shifting and natural magic to slay foes. Finally, in the line under that, type goto A. Then, in the line under that, type start iexplore.exe (or use some other program). To open an infinite number of windows, first start a new line and type :A, including the colon.winword.exe - Microsoft Word (tested with version 2013, may work with other versions). Here are just a few ideas for programs you may want to enter after "start": Repeat this "start" command as many times as you'd like - your "virus" will open a window for every time you repeat this command. For example, start iexplore.exe will open a window of Internet Explorer. This command causes the computer to open a window of the program you specify. In place of the phrase of parentheses, put the name of a program on your computer or its precise file location. To open a finite number of windows, start a new line and type the following command into your notepad window: start (program name here).See below for instructions on making both kinds of "virus": This is an important distinction - leaving a program running which opens an infinite amount of windows will eventually crash a computer. Now, it's time to write a series of commands that will cause your fake virus to open either lots of program windows or an infinite amount of program windows. Write a command to open multiple (or infinite) windows. Our games will keep young minds entertained and inspired, offering everything from educational quizzes to delightful adventures. The cost of each tier of mastery is as follows: The minotaur drops fewer advanced scrolls than basic, and fewer divine than advanced, while each level requires more of those scrolls to advance. However, masteries become exponentially more difficult as you progress. Tier 1 and 2 masteries should be obtained at any time you feel like getting them as they provide a modest power boost without much difficulty. You can get them relatively quickly, even at low levels of the minotaur dungeon. Basic masteries can be farmed at any time. Mastery scrolls are used to buy masteries. The minotaur dungeon is where you will obtain mastery scrolls for your champions. You can have two-tier 1 masteries, 3 of tiers 2-5, and only a single tier 6 mastery. Once you’ve taken a mastery in two different trees, the third tree becomes locked. You can have masteries from two of the three trees: Offense, Defense, and Support. This makes your first trek to get masteries a long one, since your 5 champions will receive them at roughly an equal pace, but once you have 4 of them maxed, the 5th will receive every mastery scroll that drops, making training up new champions much faster. You cannot obtain more than the maximum number of scrolls required to buy all of your masteries, once a champion has received all their mastery scrolls (and it doesn’t matter if you’ve spent them or stored them, the total is the max you can receive), they will no longer receive scrolls, and the other champions in your team will receive them. You will not receive divine scrolls until you have received all of your advanced scrolls, and won’t receive any of those until you have received all your basic scrolls. After each run of minotaur, one champion will be randomly chosen to receive mastery scrolls.Įach Champion can obtain 100 basic scrolls, 600 advanced scrolls, and 950 divine scrolls. They are obtained by spending skill scrolls which can be farmed from the minotaur dungeon. Masteries are something each champion has. The paid version of the enormous hit free-to-play title Fishing Planet will launch on the 17th of October for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Just recently, we got more details on the preorder bonuses and content for The Fisherman – Fishing Planet. This is excellent news for all the fishing enthusiasts out there. As far as I know you will only get 1 of these from the first event pass reward. This is a "premium" building, that you can only get from the event pass. Production: 2 Random Units (of building's age)įinally, the third new building is the Flower Maidens. If you don't have an Alcatraz could be a nice way to produce more units, or you could have some to renovate when you move to a new age to immediately start producing units from that age. It will produce 2 random units of the building's age, so it's not necessarily useful for everyone, but it's definitely an interesting option for some. This building is available as a daily special, and it's quite an interesting one! Among other things this building produces units, which is quite rare for buildings to do. In addition to the Heroes Tavern, there is another new building in this event, the Knights Pavilion. Milestone Rewards for this event gives you some building pieces and event currency, as usual :) Daily Special: Knights Pavilion (then there doesn't seem to be more buildings) I won't list all here (most are quite insignificant), but there are a few interesting ones: (If there are I'll update this after the event has started) Below you can see lists of how these rewards appeared on beta, though there may be some changes on the live servers. The event pass is not required to get the main building, so if you're free to play (or don't think it's worth it) you can ignore them without losing anything. The main ones you unluck as usual, with a second set of rewards locked beyond a 1200 diamond one-time payment (event pass, or "Fellowship Prizes").
